How quickly a week goes by & all you planned to do passes in the wind.  Oh well!

Today I started to pick up the guest room for my mom's visit...which I meant to start on Monday.  ooops.

Liv had an odd napping day - she did lots of little bits of napping, but it still kept me busy.  We worked a lot more today on playing, talking, & tummy time.  I *wish* we had carpet here - we'd play on the floor much more & she'd not be sitting in her boppy next to me on the couch all day! ha.  we usually do any playing in her room where there is carpet. 

That's about it!

I much prefer any tummy time on my boppy - even though I look bored here :)  I fuss more (a lot more) if it's on the floor.

Our Walk to the Beach

Early this afternoon we took a walk to the beach - it was absolutely, positively gorgeous outside today. 

 70 & sunny - - the kind of day you drive with the windows down, good tunes crankin' out loud & makes you feel good about life.  (I, however, didn't drive anywhere today - but I do love those days!)

So, I thought we'd share our walk to the beach with you! :)

I sat on the porch & finished my book this afternoon during O's nap.  I even looked a bit red after.  Made mac n cheese for dinner tonight & now just going to start to clean the guest room & I have "Babies" that I rented to watch tonight too!  ... or maybe tomorrow

So, the big thing for today was... getting a massage! :)  D got me a gift certificate to a local place for Christmas.  Joan came over to babysit O who had fun on her boppy playing with Sophie & fell asleep for 45 minutes (even though she just woke up from her nap before J got here.)
I enjoyed a great massage - I 'needed' it so bad - it was awesome!!!  Thanks love!

Liv has been waking up earlier the last week & today was about 7.  (It used to be 8)  She's usually up for about two hours & then I put her down for a nap.  I was just winging it until about a week or week and a half ago when I was starting to figure it all out & now put her down every 2 to 2.5 hours from being up from nighttime or naps even if she doesn't look tired which works about 95% of the time. 

Her afternoon nap today - about 1pm - didn't work as smoothly - she just kept fussing & crying even though I could *see* she was sleepy. (The beauty of video monitors)  After about a half hour, and a tired momma who was trying to take a nap too, I just picked her up and cuddled her on my chest in bed & she fell asleep soon after! :)  I only napped about 30 minutes but she ended up sleeping til 4:10- when I woke her up to make it to a play date at the park (that started at 3)  I felt kind of bad, but I know she got a good 2 hour nap in there.  Took a long time to figure out where this park was & driving around town - but it was good to get out.  It was the one thing I had been looking forward to all week & day.  Nothing special - & most people left about 20ish minutes later - at least it got me out!  & grabbed soup/sandwich at McAlisters for dinner.

Today

Hey Guys!!  So, for the requests of more pictures & info..... (or a daily picture email like my sis H keeps requesting) ;) here is a blog.  Not sure if I'll keep up with it longterm, but if you subscribe or put it in your headline bar on your computer & check it every day you'll see the updates.  Especially over the next few weeks I'll probably update a bit more. 

Today we went to Target & did a lil bit of shopping - got a few freebies too.  Maybe I'll post about that tomorrow.  We took a long walk around the neighborhood & had a bath tonight.  O loves bath time - lots of big, big smiles while she moves around the water!  She was 'talking' a bunch today too. 

She's grabbing stuff well & putting it her mouth too.  Just hard sometimes to get the two to match up. ;)

A long walk made me sooo sleepy - I slept in my stroller for about 20 minutes afterwards.  Mommy just loved how big my cheeks look here - like a doggy's jowels hanging down. heehee.

Always have my hands in my mouth... (and don't even ask about paci's because when I do have them I pull them out & spit them out & then I cry.  using my hands I don't cry near as much.)
